Performify didn't come from a product team looking for a market. It came from a problem I lived on both sides of the coach-athlete relationship — for over a decade on each side.
High school and collegiate S&C. CrossFit. Olympic weightlifting. Tactical athletes. Physical therapy technician. I've worked across just about every coaching context there is.
The problem was always the same: I knew exactly what each athlete needed. I just didn't have the hours to write it for all of them, and I definitely didn't have the hours to adjust it every time reality got in the way. Someone had a rough night of sleep. Someone rolled their ankle at practice. Someone showed up to the weight room and their rack was taken.
I'd do what every coach does - I'd triage. I'd individualize for the athletes who needed it most and hope the rest of the roster got close enough. It works. It also means someone always gets a lesser version of what they should have.
That's the problem Performify exists to solve.
Airborne Infantryman. Overseas security contractor in the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Competitive CrossFit and Olympic weightlifting. Nearly a decade training under the same coach.
I've had programming that fit and programming that fell short. I know the difference in how it feels on the platform and in the field. When your coach knows you - your history, your patterns, how you respond under load and under stress - the training is different. Not just better on paper. Different in the way it lands.
Most athletes never get that. Not because their coaches don't care - because their coaches are managing 40 other people with the same 24 hours everyone else gets.
The tools to build this didn't exist until recently. AI that can actually understand coaching context, learn individual methodology, and handle the kind of nuanced decision-making that goes into real programming - that's a recent development.
The current options force a bad choice: software that digitizes your workflow but leaves you doing all the thinking and digging, or AI apps that do the thinking but cut the coach out entirely. Neither one solves the actual problem.
Performify is built on a simple idea: the coach is the expert. The AI is there to extend their reach - not replace their judgment. Thor learns how you coach, handles the parts that eat your time, and keeps you in control of every decision that matters.
That's it. That's why this exists.
If this resonates and you coach - apply to the beta cohort. If you have questions, reach out.
